1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Traceipt (“the Service”) at traceipt.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Traceipt reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of Service

Traceipt is a receipt scanning and budget tracking application. Users can upload photos of physical or digital receipts, which are processed using AI to extract line-item data. The Service also provides budget management tools and automated email alerts.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

Traceipt offers the following plans:

All paid subscriptions are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your chosen billing cycle.

Prices are in USD and subject to change with 30 days' notice.

4. Free Trial

New paid subscriptions may include a 14-day free trial. During the trial period, you will not be charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be charged the applicable plan rate and your subscription will continue on a recurring basis.

5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or via the Stripe customer portal. Upon cancellation:

• Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
• You will not be charged again after cancellation.
• No refunds are issued for partial months or partial years. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access through the end of the paid period.
• Annual plan subscribers who cancel within 7 days of their initial purchase (not a renewal) may request a prorated refund by contacting us at privacy@traceipt.com.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Traceipt to:

• Upload content that is illegal, fraudulent, or infringes on third-party rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Submit false or manipulated receipt data to deceive or defraud any party.
• Circumvent any access controls, rate limits, or security measures.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

The Traceipt application, brand, logo, and all associated content are the intellectual property of Traceipt. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of any receipt data and images you upload. By uploading content, you grant Traceipt a limited license to process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Traceipt and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service — including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Traceipt in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The AI receipt scanning feature uses machine learning and may not always be 100% accurate. You are responsible for verifying extracted data. Traceipt is not liable for financial decisions made based on extracted receipt information.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction, as required by law.
